Carlos Solórzano started his performance career as a musician and continues to work in that field. He is a pro drummer in the Tucson music scene and a songwriter whose music has been featured on films and television shows around the world. His music career also brought him into the world of musical theatre where he performed in productions such as Godspell, Bright Star (twice), Always Patsy Cline, Tick, Tick. Boom, and Shrek the Musical. His first appearance as a character actor onstage was in December of 2023 when he appeared as Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker with Sahuarita Dance Center. He was recruited by and had the chance to perform with his daughter, who is one of the featured dancers with this company. His performance was well received, which led to him being recruited to reprise that role two years later.
In May of 2024 he was invited to take part in the dramatic reading for Magic People, which appeared at the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre here in Tucson. Soon after, he was cast as a space pirate in the film Guardians of the Sacred Flame. Following that experience, he was cast in the films Facade, Days of Blood., Midnight Uprising, the teaser reel for Blood Sanctuary, as Henry the Vampire Hunter, Son of the Werewolf for the film The Vampire Who Loves 2: The King Has Fallen, and as a Migrant in the upcoming film Silence of Waves. He also appeared in a School Safety commercial, the upcoming film The People’s Team, the audio drama titled Wilderness. and a commercial for Hughes Federal Credit Union.
Aside from his work in acting and voice over acting he is now using his musical abilities to score the upcoming films The Cafe, El Precio Del Beluga, and Carpesolem. He also co-wrote a song that will appear in the audio drama Mark III.
